When Sara and I finally got time to escape for a long weekend, Sedona, AZ was the first place we wanted to see! The drastic change in geography over the half-day drive to Sedona was astonishing. Seeing pine trees was a pleasant surprise! We spent our first day walking around the downtown area, peeping into all the art galleries and people watching. Sedona has beautiful art galleries and an eclectic group of people who were a joy to talk with (such as guitar-playing Gandolf!). After growing tired of the crowds, we drove north to find our camping spot in the national forest. Loving the seclusion, we decided to spend the rest of the weekend exploring the surrounding forests.

I asked Sara to walk out into the field for a photo—Her’s turned out better than mine.

She is a daredevil standing in the middle of the road!
